Is quartz a natural stone?
Quartz is a man-made material, however it is much more durable than others like formica and laminate. Quartz is 90-95% natural stone mixed with resin. Although quartz is mostly made of natural materials, it is engineered and pigmented and therefore not a truly natural stone.

Does quartz have to be sealed?
No. Quartz is non-porous, and it does not need to be sealed.

Can I place something hot directly on my quartz countertop?
Quartz is heat resistant, not heat proof. We do not suggest leaving anything hot directly on top, however you can use a trivet or hot pad.
